Version 7.3 offers a bunch of new practical features. Supervisors will be happy to see watching and control tools. As for agents, they will definitely appreciate internal chat. Let's not beat around the bush — get to the point.

Status management via manager dashboard

Now supervisors can forcibly change statuses of their agents’ SIP clients. It’s useful when, for example, an agent is away but still “online” or, vice versa, at the desk but marked as “busy” for some reason. In such a case, the manager can set the proper status in the Team dashboard.

Softphone.Pro transmits information about softphone registration status to Team. This helps to cope with a classic situation: an agent is on the job, the headset is on… but there are no calls.

Now it is immediately clear whether the softphone is properly registered or got disconnected — even if the indicator light is still green.

Find the trouble, shoot the trouble

Many things can happen and cause “it’s not working” — we described them in detail here. Previously, Softphone.Pro showed reasons like “Registration Error” or “Call Error”.

To keep users from going the wrong way and save their time (it’s not the softphone, it’s the PBX!), we changed the wording. Now it’s “Phone service provider error” — contact the provider’s helpdesk. Quick, clear, correct.

Another frequent case: the operating system does not see a headset, or antivirus software suddenly becomes a bit too vigilant — with the same result. Whatever the cause, the softphone will notify you immediately. Less downtime, more efficiency!
