How to see customer name (display name, Caller ID, P-Asserted-Identity) in Softphone.Pro
PBX can send the customer name together with the number in different INVITE headers like From, P-Asserted-Identity and Remote-Party-ID. Headers can carry an information that might be useful to an Agent. FFor example, a PBX sends only number 12125551234 (no additional configuration applied):
Сonfigured PBX can also send info about the number the customer called (12120004001 in the example) and additional infoas well (line name Call Center 4001):
Customer name retrieval works automatically in the incoming call window. Follow these steps to enable displaying the name in the Call Log:
1. Close Softphone.Pro.
2. Open SoftphonePro.ini configuration file with a text editor, and set ShowSipNameInCallHistoryWindow
parameter in the [AppSettings]
section to 1
.
3. Save settings and restart the app.
When receiving a call with an additional info, you'll see the info in the Incoming Call window:
If the parameter ShowSipNameInCallHistoryWindow described above is enabled it will also be shown in the Call Log:
