Softphone Software Review vol. 3 — Linphone
This volume is about Linphone, yet another open source product. (The previous one — MicroSIP — we reviewed in the part #2). It's fitting and proper for us to say that the project is a veteran in our softphone world as the first release was in far 2001, more than 20 years ago from the moment this article is written.
Thus Linphone is almost as old as Avaya, is a coeval with Mitel, and is older than most alternatives we are going to review like PhonerLite, 3CX, Acrobits, Bria and the others (please see below). The opponent — we mean Softphone.Pro — is also younger and up-and-comer with its own bargaining chips.
So Bria vs. Zoipers or PhonerLite vs. 3CX slaughters today are not in our playlist — all the world looks at showdown Linphone vs. Softphone.Pro. Or, if you don't mind, Softphone.Pro vs. Linphone.

The final decision is always up to you, we just summarize. Linphone is free and simple. Softphone.Pro is cheap, ergonomic, and offers many reporting options and much integration opportunities. Looks like a good get and quite affordable multitool for call centers.
